Scott Lawrence, beverage director at the Italian-inspired Jovia restaurant in New York City, loves using Italian ingredients in his cocktails. He pairs Italian Sauvignon Blanc and amaro (a digestivo) for this pleasantly bitter concoction. Cocktail Party Recipes

Ingredients

  • Club soda

  • 2 ounces Sauvignon Blanc

  • 1 orange wheel

  • ½ ounce Amaro Nonino

  • Ice

  • Dash of Angostura bitters

Directions

  1. Fill one-third of a large wineglass with ice. Add the bitters, amaro and wine and top with a splash of club soda. Float the orange wheel on top.
